A: The safety and well-being of every dog in our care are our top priorities. We maintain strict protocols to ensure a safe and secure environment, including thorough health screenings for all dogs prior to admission, vaccination requirements, and supervised playgroups based on size, temperament, and energy level. Our trained staff closely monitor all interactions and intervene as needed to prevent conflicts or accidents. Additionally, our facilities are equipped with secure fencing, climate-controlled indoor spaces, and comfortable accommodations to ensure a safe and comfortable stay for all our guests.
Q: What activities and amenities do you offer for dogs in daycare and boarding?
A: We offer a wide range of activities and amenities to keep dogs entertained, stimulated, and happy during their stay with us. These include supervised group play sessions in spacious indoor and outdoor play areas, interactive toys and games, individual attention and enrichment activities, and comfortable resting areas for relaxation. We also provide fresh water and regular potty breaks throughout the day to ensure your dog's comfort and well-being. Our goal is to provide a fun and enriching experience that meets each dog's physical, mental, and social needs.
Q: How do you handle dogs with special needs or medical conditions?
A: We understand that some dogs may have special needs or medical conditions that require extra care and attention. Our staff is trained to accommodate a variety of needs, including administering medication, providing specialized diets, and monitoring dogs with mobility issues or chronic health conditions. We work closely with pet parents to understand their dog's specific requirements and create a customized care plan that meets their individual needs. Additionally, our facility is equipped with first aid supplies and protocols to address any medical emergencies that may arise.
Q: Can I bring my dog's own food and belongings for their stay?
A: Yes, you will need to bring your dogs food and any medication they may need to take. In addition to this you're welcome to bring your dog's bedding, toys, and any other belongings that will help them feel comfortable and at home during their stay. We encourage pet parents to provide familiar items that their dog is accustomed to, as this can help reduce stress and anxiety associated with being in a new environment. Our staff will ensure that your dog's belongings are kept clean and organized throughout their stay, and we'll follow any feeding instructions or special dietary requirements provided by you. We do want to ensure you understand Briggs Republic is not liable for any pets belongings that are torn apart, broken, or ruined for any reason.
Q: How do you handle behavioral issues or conflicts between dogs in daycare or boarding?
A: Our staff is trained to recognize and address behavioral issues or conflicts between dogs in a calm and assertive manner. We use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage appropriate behavior and discourage unwanted behaviors such as excessive barking, jumping, or resource guarding. In the event of a conflict or disagreement between dogs, our staff will intervene immediately to safely separate the dogs involved and redirect their attention to more appropriate activities. We prioritize the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care and take proactive measures to prevent conflicts and ensure a harmonious environment for everyone.

Day Care Hours
- Monday-Friday 6:00am-6:00pm
- Drop offs preferred before noon.
- Reservations Required.
Boarding Hours: Pick up and Drop off hours*:
- Monday-Friday 6:00am-8:00pm
- Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-12pm, 6p-8p
- *Pick Ups/Drop offs may be made outside of these time if they are prescheduled and approved for a $10 fee*

Q: What is your parking lot etiquette for when I arrive?
A: When arriving at our facility, please be mindful of your dog’s temperament with strangers and other dogs, and act accordingly. Before exiting your vehicle, survey the area to assess the presence of other humans, dogs, and vehicles, and proceed with caution. If you need assistance transitioning your dog, please remain in your car or call into the building for help. Dogs must be kept on leash at all times in the parking lot and reception area, and they should have a quick-release collar or harness on. When entering or exiting the building, open doors slowly and ensure that your dog, as well as any other dogs present, do not bolt through the door. Please clean up solid waste using the provided doggy bags and utilize the grass area on the southeast side of the building for potty breaks before and after care as needed. Dogs in the parking lot and inside the building before check-in and after check-out are the full responsibility of the owner to ensure their safety and the safety of others. Use your best judgment and don't hesitate to ask for help if needed!
